Location : Bronson, FL (hybrid role; office located in Bronson with flexibility for remote design work)

Pay Range : $50,000 - $60,000 (Salary) + performance & year-end bonuses

Overview : Jeffrey Davis Portable Welding Fabrication LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Detailer to produce accurate and professional shop drawings for structural steel projects. This full-time hybrid role requires strong AutoCAD experience, a background in structural steel design, and the ability to collaborate with both office and field teams to support the successful execution of commercial welding and fabrication projects across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed shop drawings for structural steel buildings using AutoCAD.
• Interpret architectural and structural plans to produce fabrication and erection drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and welders to ensure design accuracy.
• Revise drawings based on field changes, RFIs, and feedback from contractors.
• Maintain design files and documentation for ongoing and completed projects.
• Ensure all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
• Assist with estimating or material takeoffs when needed.
• Support continuous improvement in design processes and technologies.
