  • We seek dedicated and experienced Site Security Officers (Full-Time or Part-Time) to join our dynamic team of professionals.
  • As a Site Security Officer at CSS, you will be an integral part of a high-performing security team, ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ employees, visitors, and facilities.

Position Summary :

  • Site Security Officer (Full-Time or Part-Time : Day / Swing / Graveyard Shifts) Our Security Officers are at the forefront of safeguarding our clients’ most valuable assets.

    • As a Site Security Officer , you will :

  • Protect People & Property : Provide a visible and reliable security presence to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and the physical premises.   Provide Exceptional Service : Deliver outstanding customer service, responding quickly and professionally to incidents and service calls, while maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.   Conduct Routine Patrols : Conduct regular security patrols to detect and prevent potential security risks and ensure the site remains secure at all times.   Document and Report : Accurately record and report all activities, incidents, and observations to maintain thorough and up-to-date logs.   Create a Secure Environment : Contribute to a secure and supportive work environment, helping to foster a safe, productive, and comfortable atmosphere for all personnel on-site.
  • As a part of CSS , you’ll work with a team of experienced security professionals and have the opportunity to significantly impact the safety and well-being of the sites you protect.

    • Full-Time or Part-Time :

  • Dedicated Day / Swing / Graveyard Shifts Schedule : Minimum of 16 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours based on your availability.
  • Each shift is a minimum of 8 hours.
  • You will be assigned to one specific shift (Day, Swing, or Graveyard) but must be available to work at least two weekly shifts.
  • This includes a commitment to work either Friday and Saturday , Saturday and Sunday , or Friday and Sunday every week.

    • Shift Hours :

  • Day Shift : 6 : 00AM – 2 : 00PM Swing Shift : 2 : 00PM – 10 : 00PM Graveyard Shift : 10 : 00PM – 6 : 00AM Additional Notes : Shift hours may vary slightly based on operational needs.
  • Flexibility is required for occasional shift changes and overtime depending on business demands.

    • Weekly hours can range from 16 to 40+, depending on your availability and operational needs.   Compensation and Benefits :

  • The starting hourly rate for Full-Time or Part-Time Dedicated Day / Swing / Graveyard Shifts is $26.50 per hour (it requires a commitment to work a minimum of two days each week, choosing from Friday and Saturday , Saturday and Sunday , or Friday and Sunday ), with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week .   Additional compensation includes : Up to $1,000 hiring bonus $2.00 / hour shift differential for Graveyard Shifts (2200-0600) Referral bonuses Performance-based raises Benefits (available for Full-Time Employees) : Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Paid holidays and paid time off Paid sick leave 401(k) retirement plan Uniforms and equipment provided Recognition and reward programs Professional development and tuition reimbursement up to $3,000 / year Essential Position Responsibilities : Report Writing : Accurately document observations, incidents, and activities, delivering timely and detailed reports.

    • Security Patrols :

  • Conduct effective and thorough security patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.

    • Client-Specific Tasks :

  • Execute and enforce client-specific security procedures.

    • Confidentiality :

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and activities.

    • Incident Prevention :

  • Observe, report, and deter incidents by maintaining a visible security presence.

    • Emergency Response :

  • Provide immediate support in emergencies or alarm situations.

    • Customer Service :

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, addressing needs and inquiries professionally.

    • Surveillance :

  • Monitor and report activities on the assigned site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

    • Regulation Enforcement :

  • Enforce client procedures, regulations, and industry standards.

    • Loss Prevention :

  • Prevent property damage or loss by reporting suspicious activities.

    • Inspection :

  • Inspect buildings and access points to ensure security.

    • Policy Compliance :

  • Adhere to all client policies, procedures, and relevant local and federal laws.

    • Investigation Support :

  • Assist with investigations, conduct surveillance, and gather facts.

    • Equipment Care :

  • Properly maintain company and client-issued equipment, including Cyber Keys, Radios, ID Badges, and vehicles.

    • Additional Duties :

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.   Education, Certifications, and License Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CA BSIS Guard Card Certification .
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license (Real ID or government-issued ID required for facility access) with a clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle safely.
  • Completion of CSS-led driver training and other relevant courses (post-hire), if applicable.
  • First Aid / CPR / AED certification (or ability to obtain post-hire).
  • A federal background check may be required, depending on the assigned role.

    • Minimum age of 18, as required by law or contractual obligations.   Qualifications :

  • Prior security experience , preferably in aviation or federal environments.
  • Strong situational awareness and ability to de-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally.
  • Excellent report-writing skills , with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with patrolling techniques , access control, and surveillance practices.
  • Comfortable using technology , including smartphones and radio communication systems.
  • Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with others.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and drive for extended periods in various environmental conditions.
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) with clear communication skills.
  • Radio communication knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to evaluate and de-escalate conflicts calmly.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure .
  • Site-specific requirements may include COVID-19 vaccination or a valid exemption / accommodation (based on client requirements).
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (indoor and outdoor).

    • Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to the success of security operations.   Labor Considerations for Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees :

  • This position is Non-Exempt and governed by California labor laws , including but not limited to : Overtime pay : Eligible for overtime at 1.5x the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 in a day or 40 in a week.

    • Meal and rest breaks :

  • According to California law, employees are entitled to meal and rest breaks.

    • Wages and hours :
