Facility Maintenance Engineer
Doctors Hospital of Laredo, in Laredo, TX, is a 183-bed acute care facility that offers a range of medical services. The facility maintenance engineer, working under the direct supervision of the supervisor of engineering / plant operations, is responsible for the plant operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the hospital mechanical, electrical, and supported facilities. The hospital is a 24x7x365 manned facility. This is an experienced level position in a 24 / 7 healthcare facility. The right person for this position must be able to be on call after hours and on weekends on a rotating basis.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications : High school or GED required 1-3 years experience in hospital maintenance or construction trades work. Ability to perform basic maintenance work Ability to work independently and manage multiple project and priorities. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Good written and communication skills. Basic understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a hospital environment.
