Duties

The RN Implant Coordinator demonstrates clinical competence by appropriately evaluating the different types of implants used throughout the medical center to determine the appropriate use, storage, and management of implants. The incumbent assumes responsibility / accountability for evaluation of all delegated tasks and is self-directed in the identification of learning needs and development of individual performance plans. The incumbent initiates and utilizes positive, effective communication skills and professional behaviors that promote cooperation, teamwork, and effective interaction with internal and external customers. The RN Implant Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and oversight of supply, implant, and tissue inventory; supply, implant, and tissue stocking; supply, implant, and tissue program for the entire healthcare system. Travel will be required across South Texas Veterans Healthcare System. You will report to the Nurse Manager for the Surgical Specialty Clinics.
