USPS is seeking a proactive and dedicated Mail Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sorting, checking, and handling outgoing and incoming company mail and packages. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.
Responsibilities :
- Sorting and organizing incoming and outgoing mail in a timely manner, including letters, packages, interoffice materials, and business correspondence
- Utilizing mail machinery to stamp, open, and distribute mail efficiently
- Performing quality control by checking all mail to ensure that it is correctly addressed and sorted
- Maintaining an organized and clean work environment to facilitate mail sorting and to ensure the safety of sensitive company information
- Coordinating with other departments to help process bulk mailings
- Occasionally assist with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent requiredExperience in a mailroom or related field preferredAbility to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for an extended period of timeStrong attention to detail to ensure the proper distribution of mailExcellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyBasic computer skills for logging mail items and tracking packagesGood written and verbal communication skills for reporting issues, discrepancies, or changes in mail processesBenefits :
