We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Mortgage Intervention Specialist . This role is responsible for proactively engaging with borrowers who are experiencing financial hardship, helping them navigate available mortgage assistance options, and working toward sustainable solutions that prevent foreclosure.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate and manage outreach to delinquent borrowers to assess financial situations and offer support.
Educate customers on available loss mitigation options including forbearance, repayment plans, loan modifications, and other assistance programs.
Collect and review financial documentation to determine eligibility for mortgage assistance programs.
Serve as a liaison between borrowers and internal departments to ensure timely resolution of accounts.
Maintain accurate records of borrower interactions and case progress in servicing systems.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines throughout the intervention process.
Provide empathetic, solution-focused customer service to borrowers in distress.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, collections, or customer support.
Strong understanding of mortgage products, delinquency processes, and loss mitigation options.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
Proficiency in loan servicing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac guidelines.
Experience working in a call center or high-volume customer service environment.
Pay Details : $19.00 to $22.00 per hour
