Registered Nurse

DESCRIPTION : Under the direction of the Director or Administrator, the Nurse will be responsible for planning and coordinating medical services for consumers including : nursing assessments, medication administration, staff training, and all activities associated with Home and Community Based Waiver Nursing Oversight and Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ICF / IDD)

The Nurse will perform the following essential responsibilities :

• Provide Nursing Oversight and Care Management services for adults with medical and behavioral conditions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Provide company w ide staff training in addition to consumer specific training to staff providing supports.
• Conduct nursing assessments to include initial screenings, quarterly and annual reviews, and other assessments as requested or required by Regulations, Rules and Standards.
• Consult with and provide support to staff in times of medical crisis or change in health
• Attend meetings, participate in individual teams, participate in committees and planning events, and submit reports as scheduled or requested.
• Maintain ongoing communication with recipients, guardians, program managers , outside providers and state
• Recommend and develop program procedures, which pertain to the provision of health -related support services and nursing
• Follow health and safety

HOURS OF WORK : Full-Time 40 hours per week

PAY : Up to $44.00 an hour, Depending on Experience.
