Patient Care Tech Cardiac Telemetry Full Time Days

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities. Responsibilities include : performing basic nursing care activities, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, reporting abnormal findings to nursing staff, keeping patient rooms clean and orderly, demonstrating flexibility, organization, and multi-tasking, utilizing critical thinking skills to prioritize and complete unit work quickly, serving as a liaison between patient care units and other departments, answering telephone, intercom and call lights, and managing the overall unit workflow.

Required qualifications include : High School Diploma or equivalent, nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed, and CPR Basic Life Support. Physical demands include lifting / carrying up to 50 pounds and a push / pull force up to 50 pounds.

Preferred qualifications include : Phlebotomy experience and Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Graduate of Phlebotomy course.
