Compensation Range Hourly : $29.90 - $35.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to gain foundational exposure to the full spectrum of the treasury management business including core products, sales methodology, value propositions, and best-in-class implementation, sales, and account management practices.
Essential Functions
- Acquire a working knowledge of Commerce Bank's treasury management products and services and understand how these solutions address a broad range of client needs
- Participate in cross-functional working rotations across various business lines to help leverage and develop leadership skills and gain an understanding of the Treasury Management line of business, Commercial Payments, and the Commercial Bank
- Attend community and business functions and participate in networking groups to ensure a positive image for the bank and to establish referral contacts within the marketplace
- Shadow implementation specialists to gain an understanding of how treasury management solutions are deployed, customized, and supported to maximize client value
- Assist with day-to-day account management activities, including onboarding new clients, conducting routine client check-ins, and resolving basic service issues
- Engage in the sales process, from prospecting and lead qualification to solution design and proposal development, under the guidance of experienced team members
- Learn strategies for nurturing and growing client relationships, ensuring continued satisfaction and identifying cross-sell opportunities
- Work alongside sales, product, operations, and customer service professionals to support the end-to-end client experience
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Basic knowledge of the banking / accounting / finance field, including knowledge of best practicesAbility to stay informed about treasury management trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings relevant to our clients.Basic analytical skills using financial and accounting principlesStrong relationship building skillsAbility to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirementsMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesBasic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and OutlookEducation & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience required1+ years banking and / or financial services experience requiredCompletion of Commerce Bank's Ascend Training program requiredLocation : 8001 Forsyth Blvd, St. Louis, Missouri 63105
