We are seeking a Content Operations Specialist for a 6-month temporary assignment within an academic and online education-focused team. This role supports the integration and facilitation of video technologies into teaching and learning across various educational programs, both on-campus and online.
As part of the Media and Systems team within IT Applications, the specialist will manage large volumes of digital video content, perform editing and distribution tasks, and provide support for the video content management system (Panopto). This position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of media assets for educational use.
Key Responsibilities
Video Content Management
- Administer and support Panopto for day-to-day video operations.
- Schedule, edit, and publish video lectures using various content platforms.
- Ensure the accurate and timely posting of media assets in alignment with academic schedules.
- Technical Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues related to Panopto through the support ticket system.
- Monitor and support live streaming events, providing real-time technical assistance.
- Organizational Duties
- Maintain an organized and accessible media library.
- Manage digital video release forms and ensure proper documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to support hardware maintenance and system upgrades.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Perform quality assurance checks on publicly available media content.
- Ensure all content meets legal, accessibility, and technical compliance standards.
Desired Qualifications
BA / BS degree or equivalent professional experience.Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with video editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere or Adobe Creative Cloud.Familiarity with video content management systems such as Panopto or Kaltura.Solid technical skills in operating digital media equipment and resolving common technical issues.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
