Facilities, Maintenance & Production Engineering Manager

Join STC as the site-level technical leader across Maintenance, Engineering, Printing, Production, and Facilities. This role blends people leadership, asset care, and capital stewardship to keep the plant safe, compliant, and productive.

Role snapshot

  • Lead maintenance staff to maximize output while achieving cost targets.
  • Ensure facilities and production equipment are properly maintained.
  • Provide engineering support that sustains production and printing operations.
  • Coordinate communication and implementation for manufacturing and technical initiatives.

Budgets and capital

  • Own the plant capital budget and the engineering expense budget.
  • Drive CAR submission quality and coordinate all capital activities through start-up.
  • Work with technical and operations partners to identify and prioritize capital deployment opportunities.
  • Manage the AOP budget, including technical group salaries, building and grounds, maintenance materials, and utilities.

    • Leadership and people management

  • Hire, administer salaries, manage performance including disciplinary actions, and develop employees.
  • Develop technical talent and build team capability over time.
  • Typically supervise a maintenance employee directly.

    • Safety, environment, and reliability

  • Meet site environmental compliance obligations.
  • Support plant safety programs and foster a safety-first culture.
  • Champion equipment reliability practices that reduce downtime and improve throughput.
