Resource Specialist

As part of the Windham Southeast School District (WSESD), Early Education Services offers Head Start / Early Head Start and Vermont Parent Child Center programming. We are one of fifteen legislatively designed centers that serve children and families throughout our region. Our goals are to help families with young children get off to a healthy start; promote well-being; build on family strengths, and provide support when challenges arise. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals to join us in furthering this work.

Resource Specialist

Requirements : Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field (Bachelor's Degree preferred), minimum 2 years' experience working with family systems and a strong knowledge of local, regional and state community resources.

Job duties include supporting families in reaching their goals related to maintaining safe, stable and nurturing relationships / environments by providing resources, referrals and direct assistance. Maintains a working knowledge of available resources and services in the community, especially housing. Establishes and maintains a strong presence in the community as an EES representative for key Parent Child Center activities, collaborative events and marketing of our services. Engages in advocacy activities.

All candidates must be able to communicate effectively, and balance working independently and collaboratively on a multi-disciplinary team. We offer competitive salaries, an excellent benefit package, and ongoing professional development.

Hourly rate – $24.70-$27.23, based on experience and qualifications.
