Responsibilities Position is in a 21-bed Renal / Medical-Surgical unit caring for adult patients with acute and chronic kidney disease and complex medical-surgical conditions Unit manages patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs Continuous patient monitoring and use of cardiac telemetry are required Night shift, 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM, with every other weekend required Travelers are expected to float to similar Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders as needed Epic EMR is used and proficiency is mandatory with no training provided No on-call requirement Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients in a high-acuity environment Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care High patient turnover requires strong adaptability, efficiency, and critical thinking Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract Facility may refuse or terminate any assignment for cause Requirements Active Ohio or compact RN license required Current BLS certification required Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience required Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips required Epic EMR proficiency required and must be clearly documented Competency test required on Day 1; failure results in immediate contract termination Candidates must meet all requirements at the time of consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613335.
