Responsibilities Work in a Level III / IV NICU at a children's hospital Night shift schedule of 3x12 hour shifts, 19 : 00-07 : 00 Care for neonates with conditions such as hyperbilirubinemia, neonatal sepsis, and general surgical needs Vent management required with conventional ventilators, oscillators, bubble CPAP, and NIPPV; no jet vent experience needed Pre- and post-op surgical care, including trachs, central lines, drips, and small baby care Works with Cerner electronic medical record system Every other weekend required First to float to Peds, PICU, or CVICU as needed No on-call responsibility Must work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the assignment A maximum of 7 days of requested time off will be considered First-time travelers are welcome to apply Not open to local candidates within a 50-mile radius Return staff must have a separation of at least one year before eligibility Up to 8 hours of required module training will be completed during orientation Requirements Current and active CA RN license required; no pending or temporary licenses accepted Minimum of 2 years of recent pediatric hospital experience required Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required Must have experience working vents at least 2-3 shifts per week Ability to float to pediatric, PICU, or CVICU units as needed Must be able to provide two supervisory references from recent roles within the last year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622987.
