We're seeking a CMT Project Engineer for our next reservoir project near Ft. Lauderdale. One of the landmark projects – one of the largest in Florida, if not the entire nation. It is an opportunity to be part of a high-profile Earth Dam project for the Army Corps of Engineers, a 5-year project – it is more than a job- it is a career-defining opportunity. It offers stability, career growth, and the chance to work alongside the best in the industry. This project is about 45 minutes from West Palm Beach and 30-40 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review quality issues as they arise to determine the root cause and suggest remediation options.
  • Develop an understanding and be aware of the project-related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.
  • Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure the team follows safety rules and guidelines.
  • Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices.
  • Able to lift heavy materials and equipment (50+ lbs.).
  • Conduct various construction materials testing for soils, concrete, and asphalt (e.g., soil densities and concrete air, temperature, slump etc.), as needed.
  • Work overnight and weekends when necessary.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, or Construction Management)
  • 3+ Years’ experience
  • ACI Certifications
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to divide time between the office and the field to monitor and support technicians.
  • Ability to communicate and interact respectfully and professionally with verbal and written communication
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • Other Preferred Certifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE)
