We're seeking a CMT Project Engineer for our next reservoir project near Ft. Lauderdale. One of the landmark projects – one of the largest in Florida, if not the entire nation. It is an opportunity to be part of a high-profile Earth Dam project for the Army Corps of Engineers, a 5-year project – it is more than a job- it is a career-defining opportunity. Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Review quality issues as they arise to determine the root cause and suggest remediation options.
- Develop an understanding and be aware of the project-related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.
- Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure the team follows safety rules and guidelines.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices.
- Able to lift heavy materials and equipment (50+ lbs.).
- Conduct various construction materials testing for soils, concrete, and asphalt (e.g., soil densities and concrete air, temperature, slump etc.), as needed.
- Work overnight and weekends when necessary.
Work Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Geotechnical, or Construction Management)3+ Years’ experienceACI CertificationsWillingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Must be able to divide time between the office and the field to monitor and support technicians.Ability to communicate and interact respectfully and professionally with verbal and written communicationValid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.Other Preferred Certifications
