We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Mississippi, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule with 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts, typically 7-10 consecutive days or nights per month, with preference for day shifts during the initial stretch for supervision as you acclimate to the clinic environment. Job Details Location : Mississippi Start Date : Jan 5, 2026 LOA : 60 days Provider Type Needed : Urgent Care Physician Schedule : 7a-7p or 7p-7a; 7-10 consecutive shifts per month (days or nights); preference for days during the first assignment period Responsibilities and Duties Provide urgent care services in a non-trauma ER setting Perform intubation, chest tubes, and central lines (these procedures are infrequent) Deliver patient care consistent with fast-track urgent care standards Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Additional Information 1 years of recent ER experience required Must be actively board certified (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Hospital Medicine, or Urgent Care) Required certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Candidates may be boarded in any specialty but must hold active board certification Will consider a later start depending on provider availability; need is ongoing Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
