SCOPE : The Staff Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Perform standard accounting work as assigned relating to the preparation of financial data for use in financial reports.
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Maintain inter-company transaction and reporting across multiple business units
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
• Preparation and analysis of budgets and expenditures
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
• Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including distributing monthly revenue and expenditure reports to departments.
• Assist in testing a new accounting system prior to full implementation
• Excellent communication skills within and across departments
