Registered Nurse Perioperative Services (Full Time)

As a Registered Nurse at NMC Health, you'll play a key role in assessing, planning, and delivering direct nursing care to both inpatients and outpatients. You'll collaborate with a supportive interdisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality care and ensure patients and families are treated with dignity, compassion, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and holistic care to assigned patients.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, including IVs, following all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process.
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate accountability for delegated tasks and safe patient outcomes.
- Participate in department meetings, quality improvement activities, and continuing education.
- Float to other units and cover additional shifts as needed to support safe staffing levels.
Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.International RN education must meet credential evaluation standards if applicable.Licensure & Certification :
Current RN license in the State of Kansas (or compact license).Current BLS / CPR certification required.ACLS certification recommended depending on unit assignment.Additional unit-specific certifications may be required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Proficient in patient care across the lifespan.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach.Ability to work independently and take initiative on behalf of patients.Strong time management and organizational skills.Basic computer proficiency required.Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.Join our Team!
