Sr. Synthesis Chemist

Position Type : Salaried + Performance-Based Bonus

Hours : Monday – Friday 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM Eastern

Reports to : VP of R&D

Summary / Objective :

Lead the synthesis group, by organizing, assigning, and tracking projects and provide assistance as needed to the group

Essential Functions

• Organize, assign, and track synthesis projects
• Perform duties of Synthesis chemist
• Manage department budgets
• Write reports on experiments and be able to communicate the results to management and customers
• Innovate new products and processes
• Mentor and develop chemists
• Be able to work and communicate effectively with personnel from quality control, production, marketing, and management
• Interact with sales representatives and customers to address technical issues and explore innovations
• Occasional travel to trade shows or customer visits with sales personnel may be required

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
