Overview

As a Lead Solution Architect within our Data & AI Practice, you'll leverage a client-centric approach to understand our client's challenges and opportunities to deliver solutions and services that make transformative change and deliver high-value business outcomes. You'll engage in solutioning and support on strategic opportunities, intervene in high-risk complex deliveries, and contribute to shape the strategic direction using data platforms, reporting, self-service analytics, real time intelligence and AI engineering. Using the power of modern data platforms, visualizations, advanced analytics, machine learning, IoT / Digital Twins and applied intelligence, we help clients gain business insights to optimize operations, drive innovation, and make more empowered decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture and engage on strategic opportunities, shaping high-level design and roadmaps for data platforms, reporting, real-time intelligence and AI engineering.
  • Provide technical leadership on client projects, collaborating with delivery teams and client stakeholders to drive architectural decisions, plans, and design artifacts.
  • Contribute to sales by shaping proposals, estimates, and contractual details in collaboration with other subject matter experts.
  • Mentor and coach more junior colleagues and contribute to Avanade's technical community.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into audience-appropriate language for senior business stakeholders and internal sales teams.
  • Engage early with clients and sales to support origination, requirements capture, and solutioning, building strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Drive best practices and methodologies for AI development, including data management, model training, fine-tuning, and deployment.
  • Lead the development of data and analytics platforms, real-time intelligence and reporting solutions using Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure Data Services, Fabric and Databricks.
  • Stay current with AI technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into solutions.
  • Identify cross-industry at-scale solutions for your region, including Data Migration, Automation Migration, Visualization / Reporting, and Data Platform Modernization and Governance.
  • Support multi-year engagements and managed services for Data & AI initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft and Databricks.
  • Experience in Data, Applied Intelligence, Automation, IoT and related technologies.
  • Awareness of channels to market and how to work in a Microsoft and partner ecosystem to ensure customer success.
  • High energy with the ability to help clients understand the fast-moving AI industry, product and service evolution.
  • Experience creating technical visions, architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs involving AI concepts, particularly focused on scaling AI across enterprises.
  • Understanding of data platform migration principles, regulatory frameworks and how to address risk while delivering impactful solutions.
  • Ability to create design artifacts and present them for architectural forums with multi-disciplined stakeholders from engineering to C-level client executives.
  • Deep understanding of modern Data & AI capabilities (structured / unstructured data, streaming, IoT, AI, GenAI, and related analytics).
  • Experience designing and delivering large-scale Data Platform solutions using approaches such as Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Fabric, Cloud Scale Analytics, etc., with emphasis on performance, security, and reliability.
  • Comfort with engaging and leading sales and business development opportunities with clients.

  • You are passionate about tech and engaging with and advising clients.
  • An advanced degree in a quantitative field (computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven success in consultative / complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and / or support of highly distributed applications; extensive experience architecting cloud data workloads in large enterprise accounts.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence remote teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, consultative, and relationship-building mindset.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and flexible; humble leadership; adept negotiator.

  • As an architect assigned to a client project, provide technical leadership, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts.
  • Contribute to Avanade's sales process by creating solutions that innovate, inspire and win new business; shape high-level design, estimates, and contractual details for client proposals.
  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues across the organization.

  • Lead development of data and analytics platforms, real-time intelligence, and reporting solutions using Python, SQL, Azure Data Services, Fabric and Databricks.
  • Stay abreast of AI advancements and incorporate relevant innovations.
  • Identify cross-industry solutions at scale for your region and drive initiatives in data migration, automation migration, visualization / reporting, and data governance.
  • Drive growth across the Data & AI Solution Area and align with other Global Solution Areas and GTM initiatives.
