The Blue Porch – Server

A Server at The Blue Porch is responsible for ensuring all full-service guests have the Uncommon Hospitality experience that sets The Blue Porch apart. The Server provides friendly accommodating table service and salesmanship that establishes the brand culture. The Server ensures fast and fresh delivery of orders through efficient ordering on the Point of Sale (POS) system, running fully assembled food orders from the Back of House to the guests, pouring and serving drinks and, at times, works with bartender to get alcoholic drinks. The Server clears and cleans tables in all of the full-service sections of the restaurant.

Essential Duties

• Treats all guests and teammates with Uncommon Hospitality ensuring every guest has a great experience
• Takes food and drink orders of full-service guests following established restaurant procedures and practices
• Enters guest orders into the POS system
• Runs assembled food orders from the Back of House and delivers to guests
• Pours soft drinks and delivers to guests
• Depending on shift and / or location, either works with bartender to get alcoholic beverages and delivers to guests or prepares themselves
• Regularly checks in with guests throughout their meal to ensure a great service experience
• Resolves guest issues with Uncommon Hospitality, partnering with the leadership team as needed
• Processes payments following established practices and procedures
• Clears and cleans tables in the full-service section quickly between guests
• Strictly follows all federal and state mandated liquor laws by monitoring the number of alcoholic beverages each guest orders and ensures they aren’t over-served
• Trains new Servers as directed by the leadership team
• Other duties as assigned
