Coverage Needed

  • Shift : Long Term - Full Time Coverage - 7 days on / 7 days off 12-hour shifts (days or nights)
  • Weekend Requirements

Clinical Details

  • Practice Setting : NICU Level III
  • Number of Neonatologists : 3
  • Number of Pediatric Mid-Levels : 6 plus 1 per diem
  • Supervision : Yes, RNs in the NICU and other ancillary staff as needed
  • Support Staff : Neonatologist present during the day and on call available 24 hours otherwise
  • Number of Exam Rooms : 16 bed unit
  • Average Number of Admissions Per Day : 0-2
  • Total Number of Beds : 16 bed NICU unit coverage with coverage for well baby problems only during nightshift
  • NICU Level : Level III
  • Required to Attend C-Sections
  • Required to Cover Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day : 8-9
  • EMR : EPIC
  • Neonatal Required Procedures :

    • Nursery Level III / NICU

  • Ventilation Management
  • Invasive (ETT)
  • Non-invasive (BiPAP / CPAP)
  • Chest Tube Insertion
  • Exchange Transfusions
  • UAC / UVC placement, LPs
  • Evaluation & Management of Acute Volume / BP Issues
  • Insertion of Central Line
  • Insertion of Arterial Line
  • Diagnostic / Therapeutic Taps

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified - Neonatology / experienced NICU PA
  • Active NY License
  • Must have experience and be comfortable managing patients independently
