Intellectual Property Associate - Massachusetts

Location : Boston, MA

Salary Range : $185,000 - $205,000 annually

Overview :

The Firm, an AmLaw100 leader, seeks an Intellectual Property Associate to join its growing IP team in Boston. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic practice while serving a diverse client base with practical, business-minded solutions.

A Day in the Life :

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide trusted IP advice, including copyright, trademark, and domain name matters. Responsibilities include conducting trademark / copyright clearance, prosecuting applications, leading IP policing campaigns, and supporting litigation efforts (e.g., copyright, trademark, and domain name disputes). You’ll engage in client-focused work that balances flexibility with tireless advocacy.

Qualifications :

1-3 years of experience in intellectual property law
Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar
Experience with trademark / copyright clearance, prosecution, policing, and litigation
Strong academic credentials (law school transcript required)

Standout Skills :

Proficiency in drafting and negotiating IP licensing agreements

Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain) and their IP implications

Exceptional legal research and writing skills, demonstrated through published articles or complex briefs

Proactive client communication and project management abilities
