job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor's degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of North Carolina. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in land surveying. Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment, including GPS systems, 3D laser scanners, and total stations. Working knowledge of survey software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Our client is a reputable Environmental, Geotechnical, and Civil Engineering firm serving the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Licensed Surveyor to support private and public sector land development projects in Eastern North Carolina. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of surveying techniques, principles, and technologies.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
- Prepare plots, maps, and reports of the survey results, and share them with clients and government bodies.
- Utilize GPS systems, robotic total stations, and other surveying equipment to ensure accuracy of measurements.
- Collaborate with team members during the land development process.
- Participate in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
