We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities nationwide, building and maintaining strong client relationships, executive level reporting and driving growth for the company's national industrial manufacturing and distribution strategies. You will work closely with the Industrial Business Unit teams to develop strategies that drive sales and expand our market presence nationally.
Responsibilities
Research and identify new business prospects in the manufacturing sector, including potential new clients, markets, and growth opportunities through research, cold calls, networking, publications, existing clients, referrals, or industry and community organizations, conferences, and internal leads
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Provide excellent customer service to retain business and enhance long-term partnerships with potential new clients, architects, consultants, and other business and community organizations; build strong industry presence directly beneficial to Brinkmann Constructors. Create and maintain CRM database, Unanet, which is shared and used by the BD team.
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Use insights to adjust strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet company objectives and sales targets. Tailor proposals, presentations, and product offerings to meet the unique needs of clients in the manufacturing and distribution industry.
Work closely with marketing, preconstruction, operations, and engineering teams to ensure that client requirements and industry standards are met in all manufacturing processes and solutions.
Take responsibility for meeting and exceeding revenue targets, both short-term and long-term, by acquiring new clients and expanding existing accounts. Align business development and sales with corporate strategic priorities to ensure annual growth projections.
Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales progress to senior management. Use data and analytics to forecast future sales and business opportunities.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build brand awareness and generate new business leads.
Stay informed about the company's manufacturing capabilities and product offerings to effectively promote and communicate value to potential clients.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience : 5+ years of experience working for an industrial manufacture in business development or sales.
Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of the manufacturing process, supply chain, and related industry standards.

Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients, prospects, and attend conferences related to market vertical - industrial manufacturing and distribution.
