TITLE : Director, Data Platforms

LOCATION : Maryland Heights, Missouri

JOB SUMMARY : Provide technical solutions and develop features to support Field Operations and Customer Experience tools by translating user needs and business requirements into high-level and detailed designs, solutions, and specifications. Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement. Attend story grooming meetings for requirement gathering. Design and document technical solutions using UML diagrams. Conduct system-to-system API calls using REST and SOAP web services. Develop code with Java and Spring Boot, perform web development with Java and J2EE, and conduct code reviews. Write database queries using Oracle. Create and manage Jira stories. Collaborate with QA and UAT teams to resolve defects. Guide junior team members and oversee deployments across environments including DEV, SIT, QA, UAT, and production, with documentation for procedures. Supervise two employees : Principal Architect I and Software Engineer IV, assign tasks, and monitor their development.

EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of 4 years experience in web development with Java and J2EE, Oracle database queries, and API calls using REST and SOAP. At least 1 year of team management experience involving task assignment and monitoring development.
