Position Summary :
The Material Handler reports directly to the Warehouse / Logistics Supervisor. The Material Handler may perform a variety of tasks in accordance with their training, experience, and skill.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Performs manual and clerical duties such as receiving, storing, and issuing materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Receives materials, checks against documentation for completeness, identification and quantity
- Sorts, Counts, checks received goods, raw materials, finished or semi-finished parts and subassemblies
- Issues materials, supplies components and parts from stock
- Prepares stock kits for production departments and verifies, counts, or documents any shortages
- Prepares shortage documentation and reviews status of shortages, back order files, and inventory status reports
- Interface and support internal / external customers (production, quality, engineering, small carriers, trucking companies, etc.)
- Ships products and other items as required
- Delivers or picks up items to customer or supplier locations as required
- other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
These tasks are performed in accordance with engineering instructions, company standard operating procedures, professional trainings, customer requirements, and individual experience. Overtime may be required.
Qualifications Required / Job Specifications :
Preparing activity reports and other data input as required.High school Diploma or GED equivalenceOr minimum of (2) years of material handling experience or equivalent toPrevious Forklift experience preferred. Specifically Stand up Reach ForkliftPossess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.High attention to detailProficient with PC-based software including Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Word and Excel.Effective organizational skills required; detail oriented; ability to multitaskPossess excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form.Ability to keep accurate documentationAbility to apply basic concepts of arithmeticAbility to use common sense to solve practical problemsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees;Maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organizationESD, MSL, and Raw component handlingError!
