Location : Washington Court House, OH

Compensation : $90,000–$100,000 + 2–3% Annual Bonus

About the Role

Vaco is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations. The incoming manager will play a key role in cost control, vendor performance, and strategic sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement : Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives, including cost reduction and supplier diversification initiatives.

Vendor Management : Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships. Lead price negotiations and contract discussions.

Cost & Market Analysis : Track market trends and supplier performance to uncover cost-saving opportunities and improve value.

Contract Oversight : Lead contract negotiations while ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.

Performance Metrics : Monitor procurement KPIs such as cost savings, delivery reliability, and quality standards.

Team Development : Oversee and support a small procurement team, offering mentorship and guidance.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field

Experience : At least 3 years in purchasing or procurement, ideally within an automotive manufacturing environment

Skills :

Strong negotiation and vendor management experience

Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, and intermediate PowerPoint
