Role Overview

This is a hands-on leadership role where youll define QA strategy, manage and mentor a small team, and directly contribute to testing and automation efforts. Youll collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our ecommerce applications and backend systems.

What You Will Do :

  • Lead the QA team by providing technical guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day direction.
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes and lifecycle activities, from smoke testing through staging and production deployment.
  • Define, develop, and maintain functional test cases and regression test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business requirements.
  • Design, maintain, and contribute to test automation frameworks for CI / CD pipelines.
  • Perform and oversee manual and automated testing of web and ecommerce applications, as well as backend systems.
  • Collaborate with Developers and Business Analysts to capture performance testing requirements and oversee execution and analysis.
  • Use APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance-related issues.
  • Monitor regression test results, triage failures, and coordinate fixes with the development team.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure acceptance criteria are clear, testable, and met before release.
  • Report on QA metrics, testing coverage, and product readiness to leadership.
  • Drive process improvements and foster a culture of quality across the organization.

Experience & Skills :

  • 810+ years of QA experience, with at least 23 years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
  • Familiarity with Selenium, and hands-on experience implementing and customizing automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity using Test Rail and proficient in test case creation and execution.
  • Strong background in performance / load testing tools (e.g., Gatling, JMeter, BlazeMeter).
  • Proficient in a broad range of testing methods (Functional, Regression, Performance, API, Security, Accessibility, etc.).
  • Comfortable working in Waterfall / Agile / Scrum environments with a focus on Continuous Integration and Deployment.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and QA documentation best practices.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Collaborative leader who can both guide a team and contribute directly to testing.
  • Plus :

  • Working knowledge of SQL and programming languages.
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as ERP and ecommerce platforms.
  • Education :

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
