Job Summary

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Student Tutor to join their team of professionals.

• Provides peer supplemental instruction in various modalities such as : 1- to-1 and small groups
• Discusses learning, test-taking and study strategies while assisting with course work assignments and questions
• Completes session documentation at the completion of each supplemental instruction session
• Assists students with composing study guides
• Facilitates review sessions during midterm and finals exams and / or as needed based on student needs
• Maintains up to date documentation and student progress for all individual supplemental instruction sessions assigned
• Maintains familiarity with all existing ACES resources and refers students to resources as appropriate
• Communicates regularly with Academic Enrichment Consultants, Supplemental Instruction Program Manager, Director, and ACES on the progress of students assigned
• Follows and upholds FIU academic honesty policies and procedures, FERPA policies and ACES procedures
