Technology Supervisor
Major accountabilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform network system support while training personnel to accurately and efficiently perform departmental duties building a shared knowledge base.
Ensure the completion of all scheduled network / telecommunications services in support of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
Professionally interface with clients and in-house personnel regarding technical requirements and / or requests.
Troubleshoot, analyze, diagnose and assist in the repair of technical problems in an effective and efficient manner providing unparalleled service.
Ensure that all required orders, technology service tickets, records and forms are updated, maintained and completed accurately.
Monitor, secure and issue Technology Services' equipment, with appropriate training to MCCNO personnel to allow for efficient work processes.
Accountabilities for supervision :
Participate in decisions related to the evaluation and discipline of assigned personnel.
Orient employees to MCCNO policies and procedures, clearly communicate job duties and responsibilities so individuals may proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions.
Personally conduct or oversee training for new employees to ensure established procedures are clearly understood and followed.
Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis, conduct effective performance appraisals, and take corrective action whenever necessary.
Create a working climate in which assigned personnel are motivated to develop their skills and abilities and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct and work performance.
Administer MCCNO policies in a fair and equitable manner with regard to discipline, tardiness, absenteeism or insubordination and fully document all incidents and actions taken.
Qualifications :

Education and / or Experience :
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred and two to four years' experience in an ISP / networking position preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one year experience in a supervisory level position required. A+ and / or N+ Certifications and experience in Wi-Fi preferred.
Language Skills :
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Switch port programming.
