Work Study Undergraduate Assistants - Department of French and Italian

This student position will provide administrative support to the French and Italian main office.

Responsibilities :

• Serve as first point of contact and greet visitors in the French and Italian front office.
• Answer phones and emails, make copies, scan materials, distribute mail.
• Assist with departmental communications including signage, flyers, social media posts, and newsletter content.
• Provide support for departmental events.
• Assist faculty and staff with data entry and office-support requests.
• Daily opening and closing duties such as unlocking / locking classrooms and offices.
• Consistent on-time arrival for shift and prompt communication regarding schedule changes.
• 10 15 hours per week, at least 2 shifts per week.

Required Qualifications :

Be awarded Federal Work-Study on the Work-Study Verification (WSV).

Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy standards as set by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.

Must be enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student's academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.

Punctual, and ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications :

At least one year of administrative experience or customer service-related experience.

Excellent communication skills.

Salary Range : $15.00 per hour
