Job Summary
This role will be responsible for the quality assurance, CMM programming, inspection tooling development of various products for medical and surgical applications. Duties include participating in development of CMM programs for medical devices, assistance with inspection fixture development, inspection optimization, inspection of product, control and reporting of non-conforming product, & general quality activities as needed.
Duties and responsibilities
- Creation of new CMM programs, and updates to historically verified programs
- Collaborate with production team and product development to determine final disposition of non-conforming product.
- Collaborate with product development, evaluate new product drawings, and advise on GD&T best practices and inspection methods.
- Design and develop fixtures for metrology applications.
- Collaborate on new metrology equipment selection.
- Development of inspection fixtures for New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, and for support of historic product lines.
- Perform Product Inspection (dimensional, visual, testing) utilizing the following : CMM running CMM Manager, OGP Benchmark 300 running Zone3, Calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, micrometers, height gauges, profilometer, label inspections, etc. as a backup to quality control, as needed.
- Read and interpret specifications and engineering blueprints.
- Maintain full traceability of product, parts and in process items using proper line clearance techniques and good documentation practices.
- Accurately document process steps in accordance with quality system regulations following good documentation practices.
- Prepare reports for non-conforming products with the assistance of the Quality Engineering team, where needed.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in usable condition. Investigate out of tolerance (OOT) conditions found during use or during calibration, issue nonconforming material reports to identify impacted product and determine disposition and actions resulting from the OOT condition.
- Develop training and proficiency modules where needed.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

High school diploma or equivalent5+ years experience with inspection equipment3+ years in an industry requiring high attention to detailPreferred education and experience :
