Meat Wrapper

Our Port Jefferson Station store is seeking a f ull-Time Meat Wrapper to join our busy Meat Department! The ideal candidate will ensure all meat products are wrapped, labeled, and displayed to company standards while maintaining freshness and quality. Responsibilities Wrap, weigh, label, and price meat and poultry products Maintain product freshness and proper rotation Stock and organize meat displays Keep work areas and equipment clean and sanitized Support Meat Cutters and department operations as needed Requirements Must be 18 years or older Previous meat or deli experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and work weekends / holidays Benefits We offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(K), 50% off store lunch, 25% off in-store shopping, and more! There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and / or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and / or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance. Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and / or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and / or coolers. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects / industrial equipment necessary to perform job duties and functions. Employment Type : Full Time Salary : $17 - $18 Hourly
