Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Urgent Care in North Carolina

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, beginning Oct 13, 2025. This role features 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekday and weekend schedule, providing autonomous care in a high-volume setting supported by a medical assistant and front desk staff. Job Details Location : North Carolina Start Date : Oct 13, 2025 LOA : 120 days Provider Type Needed : Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner Schedule : 12-hour shifts (8am-8pm weekdays, 8am-4pm weekends), 36 / 40 hour week rotation : Week 1 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday), Week 2 (Monday, Thursday, Friday) Responsibilities and Duties Provide autonomous urgent care services to 40 patients per shift Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans Collaborate with medical assistant and front desk staff to ensure efficient patient flow Complete required documentation using Epic EMR Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and state regulations Hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA credentials Obtain and maintain DOT certification if not already held Additional Information Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina Minimum one year of urgent care or emergency room experience required Must be able to work independently and manage a high patient volume New graduates will not be considered Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
