The Capabilities Manager will support the development, enhancement, and implementation of technology, capabilities, reporting, and product strategies within the global risk and compliance organization. This role focuses on contributing to operational risk transformation by assisting in aligning business needs with technological solutions while ensuring scalability, regulatory compliance, and innovation. The Manager will work closely with stakeholders across risk, compliance, and IT to help deliver effective tools, reports, and systems that enhance the risk management framework.
Key responsibilities include :
- Leading collaboration with business and technology teams to define detailed user stories, ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are well-documented
- Overseeing user acceptance testing (uat) planning and execution, guiding teams in the development of test cases, coordinating with end-users, and validating that system enhancements meet business and regulatory requirements
- Driving the design and definition of risk management solutions and reporting by advising on strategic architecture choices and aligning cross-functional stakeholders
- Leading the delivery of risk and compliance technology capabilities that strengthen the operational framework, with a focus on proactive risk identification, monitoring, reporting, and controls effectiveness
- Shaping and executing product strategies that advance operational risk system capabilities, ensuring alignment with broader risk transformation objectives
- Coordinating and helping prioritize a portfolio of technology initiatives that enhance risk data management, workflow automation, and regulatory compliance tools
- Supporting the integration of advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analytics within operational risk management processes
- Ensuring risk and compliance technology solutions adhere to regulatory standards and adapt to evolving global requirements
- Supporting the integration of risk management systems across the organization, facilitating comprehensive risk reporting and insights for senior management
- Staying informed on industry trends, innovations, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement in risk and compliance capabilities
Qualifications :
7 years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, or risk technology, with a background in supporting capabilities and product strategy initiativesPrior experience in designing / architecting / implementing complex risk management solutionsExperience in agile / kanban methodologies, creating and prioritizing user stories and tasks for multiple projects in a dynamic environmentExperience in performing UAT, writing test-cases for various scenarios, performing product reviews / certifications, etc.Experience in coordinating risk transformation projects, particularly in assisting with the implementation of large-scale technology platformsFamiliarity with developing product and technology roadmaps, with a focus on operational risk, compliance, and regulatory requirementsStrong understanding of global risk management frameworks and financial industry regulations, including Basel, SOX, and CCARExperience working with technological solutions in risk and compliance, including AI, machine learning, and advanced analyticsProven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work with senior stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives in risk managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex risk environments and contribute to effective solutionsExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support teams and present risk management insights to stakeholdersA bachelor's degree in risk management, business, technology, or a related field is requiredSalary range : $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually bonus benefits
