Overview
The Geoprobe Visual Communications Specialist works within a small team to help develop professional-quality photos and videos for use inside and outside the company. Successful candidates have strong time management skills, an ability to see through the customers’ eyes, and use their expansive photography / videography skills to produce high-quality work.
As the Visual Communications Specialist, you will...
- Develop and produce visual content on a regular basis for website, social media, print, etc.
- Shoot and refine footage to share a story, highlight product / company benefits, or explain processes
- Capture and edit photographs of machines, tools, and people
- Proof own work and solicit team feedback for content accuracy and design consistency before formal review
Organize video and photo shoots from concept to execution. Duties include but are not limited to
Scout potential sites in Salina areaEncourage participation from multiple departments, as neededOutline shot lists and potentially drafting video scriptsLearn and understand our company culture, the industries we serve, and our customers
Appropriately communicate our culture and our productsStay current on company product features and benefitsBuild strong relationships across the companyShare insight with colleagues when recognizing opportunities for improvementRemain up-to-date on emerging marketing trends, techniques, and equipment to make recommendations for changes in methods or materials. Set up and run A / V equipment for company events. Occasional travel and extended hours when project needs arise.

BA / BS degree (or equivalent professional experience) in marketing, communications, journalism, photography / videography, or related field and 3+ years of marketing and / or communications experience in a professional settingExtensive experience in photography / videography, both in capturing and editing materialProficient in using Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom; basic understanding of After Effects; Blender and SolidWorks knowledge helpful but not requiredProven writing and copyediting skills, primarily for onscreen textStrong mechanical aptitude and confidence around large, heavy equipmentCertified drone pilot or willing to obtain license upon hireBenefits
