Job Overview

\n

  • Performs all tasks in a safe manner, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations.

\n

  • Know and understand all Safety rules and guidelines to ensure work is performed safely.

    • \n

  • Review work orders with resource as they are received, ask for clarification and confer with the requestor for additional clarification when needed.

    • \n

  • Originate and process emergency work orders when necessary.

    • \n

  • Have a clear understanding of and strictly comply with LO / TO policy.

    • \n

  • Use computer managed system to find needed parts for repairs.

    • \n

  • Maintain written documentation of work performed.

    • \n

  • Complete PMs as required both safely and procedurally.

    • \n

  • Troubleshoot an inoperable machine or piece of equipment made in house. Work may involve installing, servicing, replacing, and / or repairing any machine or equipment plant-wide, with or without schematics. Exact skills will be based on competencies known and properly trained in. Specifics of this could be :

    • \n

  • Calibrate different instrument types.

    • \n

  • Operate basic and advanced shop tools as required to maintain or repair equipment.

    • \n

  • General cleaning to maintain clean work areas.

    • \n

  • Shift to shift communication and with members of the maintenance or operational team.

    • \n

  • Ability to work a set schedule.

    • \n

  • Willingness and ability to train on new technology.

    • \n

  • Trained of cranes, rigging and hoists.

    • \n

  • Reads drawings, prints & sketches.

    • \n

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

    • \n

  • Ability to prioritize and effectively utilize available resources.

    • \n

  • Train others as needed

    • \n

  • Works overtime as needed

    • \n

  • Other duties as assigned

    • \n

  • Forklift Experience.

    • \n

  • Hazardous Waste Management.

    • \n

  • Ability to drive company Vehicles.

    • \n

    \n

    Job Requirements

    \n

  • Area may or may not be air conditioned or heated and may be humid and hot or cold depending on seasonal conditions.

    • \n

  • Exposure to hot and / or abrasive surfaces.

    • \n

  • Required to be in tight spaces and heights on occasion.

    • \n

  • Possible exposure to noise levels over 90 decibels for 12 hours at certain locations. Participation in hearing conservation program required

    • \n

  • Moving machinery or moving objects on production floor.

    • \n

  • Floor surfaces are slippery at times.

    • \n

  • Exposure to chemicals which may cause eye or skin irritation and / or burns, and irritation to respiratory system.

    • \n

  • Exposure to static electricity on occasion.

    • \n

  • Exposure to and use of sharp implements at times.

    • \n

  • Exposure to outside elements on occasion.

    • \n

    What your background should look like

    Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related work experience. Requires completion of high school. Vocational training or an AA degree is preferred.

    High School Diploma or GED

    Journeyman's License Preferred

    CPR / FA / BBP Certification

    5+ years of manufacturing experience in a maintenance role

    COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience : $63,300 - $95,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience / qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
