Position : Payroll Manager

Job Description

Our client in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking a dedicated Payroll Manager for a direct hire position.

Company Profile :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee payroll tax processing in compliance with IRS and state regulations.
  • Supervise payroll, tax, and accounts payable processes.
  • Support automated payroll systems with accounting tasks and maintain financial records.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with payroll procedures.
  • Implement accounting standards and coordinate payroll tax deposits.
  • Prepare tax reports and filings.
  • Maintain payroll and tax data for cross-company reconciliation.
  • Monitor payroll and tax withholding reconciliations and filings.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and train staff accordingly.
  • Participate in continuing education and software training.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications :

  • College degree or CPP certification preferred.
  • 3-4 years of payroll accounting experience.
  • Leadership or management experience.
  • Experience with manual payroll processing.
  • Proficiency with data formats like Excel, CSV, TXT.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws, tax requirements, and W-2 reporting.
  • Familiarity with payroll practices and office procedures.

    • Job Requirements :

    College degree preferred; 3-4 years payroll experience; manual payroll processing knowledge; management or leadership skills; experience with multistate / multilocation payroll.
