Seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a well respected small-to-mid-size engineering firm in Columbus, OH. The Structural Engineer will design and manage projects across commercial buildings, multi-family residential, and mixed-use developments. You’ll work with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, using STAD, RAM, and Revit Structure , while mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with building codes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead structural design projects using STAD, RAM, and Revit Structure software.
  • Design and analyze structures composed of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood .
  • Review and apply building codes, materials specifications, and construction standards .
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members.
  • Perform site visits and inspections (~10% travel).
  • Ensure quality control, safety, and compliance throughout all project phases.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 8–15 years of professional structural engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in STAD, RAM, and Revit Structure ; experience with other structural software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and residential construction practices .
  • In-depth knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural systems .
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills .
