Job Title : Steam / Hydronic Systems Technician II.

Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Steam / Hydronic Systems Technician for a client is Denver, CO. This position focuses on supporting operational systems through technical expertise, practical application of knowledge, and strict adherence to procedures. The primary duties involve maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing steam and hydronic systems, as well as executing specialized tasks in system equipment, machinery, and pipefitting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshoot, assess, and identify issues within steam and hydronic systems, attempting repairs or escalating complex issues to specialists.
  • Perform pipefitting and welding tasks, including the installation and repair of HVAC systems across various facilities.
  • Use a variety of techniques to join pipes, such as welding, screwing, and soldering, ensuring systems are effectively installed and maintained.
  • Fabricate, repair, and install HVAC system piping, collaborating with other team members for heavy rigging and safe installation.
  • Diagnose and modify systems based on blueprints, schematics, and building code standards, ensuring all work complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and modify existing system infrastructure to improve efficiency or accommodate new needs.
  • Cross-train in at least one other trade as an apprentice.
  • Assist with snow removal and respond to emergency needs on a 24-hour, on-call basis.
  • Communicate and collaborate with on-site staff and other team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely.
  • Prepare job sites, including setting up scaffolding, maintaining safety protocols, and disposing of waste and hazardous materials.
  • Review work orders, prioritize tasks, determine required materials, and order supplies via the organization’s purchase order system.
  • Under the direction of senior technicians, assist with bidding on work, preparing cost estimates, training and mentoring staff, inspecting contractor work for deficiencies, and ensuring compliance with city, state, and organizational standards.

Qualifications & Skills Required :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in steam, hydronic systems, or related HVAC trades.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license meeting the organization’s insurance standards.
  • Must reside in Colorado or have a permanent address within the state.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role with or without accommodations.
  • Compensation :

  • Competitive pay range between $37.00 to $44.00 per hour. For more details on compensation, click here.
