Description : Company Description

The Fi Company - Seattle is a plastics fabrication company with diverse and integrated capabilities including : thermoforming (vacuum and pressure), reaction injection molding, plastic fabrication, assembly, and the application of high performance coatings. As a complement to our diverse focus we strive for excellence in all areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate spray eqipment to coat with primers and other industrial coatings including powder coating.
  • Clean and prepare parts for coating process, including masking and sandblasting.
  • Apply industrial coating, including powder coating.
  • Working in a spray booth environment operating paint and powder coat equipment.
  • Measure the thickness of applied coating materials.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years experience in a production manual powder coating environment. Comparable experience, such as auto body painting, will be considered.
  • Ability to interpret and understand customer drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working within the plastics industry in a plant setting is preferred.
  • Experience coating with Teflon, Nylon, Halar, and Polyethelyne is a plus.

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read part drawings is a plus.
  • Candidates must be able to lift, push, pull and carry 50lbs.
  • May have to squat or bend frequently and stand for extended periods.
