Brake Press Operator – Direct Hire

|Hartland, WI Position Overview Superior Skilled Trades is hiring an experienced Brake Press Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Hartland, WI .

  • The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, setting up and operating forming equipment, and verifying part accuracy using precision measuring tools.
  • This position offers a great opportunity to join a stable manufacturing environment with long-term growth potential.
  • Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to form production parts accurately.
  • Set up, program, and operate brake press forming equipment.
  • Position and align workpieces precisely in the machine.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Comply with all quality and safety regulations and production procedures.
  • Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of brake press operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math and metric conversions.
  • Knowledge of European, Wila, and custom tooling preferred.
  • Experience with Safan and Accurpress press brakes desired.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, routings, and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.
  • Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs , occasionally up to 50 lbs .
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials and operate machinery.
  • Visual ability to perform detailed, close-range inspection work.
  • Work Environment Fast-paced factory / manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and airborne particles.
  • Occasional exposure to chemicals or humid conditions.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required.
