Composites Part Family Financial Leader

Responsible for overseeing and driving the financial performance of the Composites Part Family within GE Aerospace's Integrated Manufacturing Division. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in operational finance and people leadership. The Composites Part Family is a critical enabler of GE Aerospace's success, supporting key programs across the enterprise. The successful candidate will manage $600M+ of cost, drive productivity, oversee significant capital investments, and drive strategic initiatives such as footprint expansion and joint ventures to meet future delivery needs. This role also includes serving on the Board of Directors for ACC JV and as strategic advisor to CFAN JV, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace's strategic priorities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Global Accounts Receivable Leadership

  • Manage the $8B quarterly receivable balance, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace's guiding principles and operational priorities.
  • Drive improvements in cash collection timing, forecasting accuracy, and reduction of past dues by partnering with sales, operations, and finance leadership.
  • Lead the Global AR team in executing strategic, global, and cross-functional initiatives to enhance collections processes and customer account management.

Financial Leadership

  • Deliver accurate and complete financials for the Composites Part Family, leveraging financial reporting to drive operational action and decision-making.
  • Manage $600M+ of cost across the Composites Part Family, ensuring financial discipline, resource optimization, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Maximize ROI on a $150M+ capital expenditure budget, ensuring investments deliver measurable value and support long-term growth.
  • Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with the Composites Part Family operating leader to ensure alignment and execution of key priorities, regularly interacting with leadership teams across Part Family and Integrated Materials (IM).
  • Financially manage strategic initiatives, including the launch of a new raw material plant and the creation of future joint ventures, driving growth and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee footprint expansion to meet future delivery needs, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and operational scalability.
  • Served on the Board of Directors for the ACC JV and as a strategic advisor to the CFAN JV
  • Operational Excellence

  • Develop budgets and forecasts in a dynamic environment, ensuring the Composites Part Family meets its financial and operational targets.
  • Implement the FLIGHT DECK lean operating system to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
  • Drive financial discipline and operational rigor to support strategic growth initiatives and optimize resources.
  • Talent Development

  • Develop, attract, and retain talent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and coaching team members on lean principles for Finance.
  • Lead and mentor finance professionals, ensuring alignment with GE Aerospace's Behaviors : Respect for People, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Driven.
  • Stakeholder Communication

  • Effectively communicate key dynamics of the Composites Part Family to cross-divisional internal stakeholders, including Commercial Engines & Services, Defense, Engineering, FP&A, and Controllership teams.
  • Maintain the highest standards of controllership, compliance, and rigor, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 6+ years of relevant finance experience
  • Proven experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace industries.
  • Strong expertise in lean operating systems and driving measurable business results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and capital expenditures effectively.
  • Strong Supply Chain finance experience.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and controllership.
