Boiler Mechanic

Keene State College invites applications for a Boiler Mechanic to maintain and ensure the safe operation of our boilers, steam turbine and related equipment. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, benefited position. This role is Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 am - 4 pm (flexibility if needed). Hourly rate is commensurate with experience.

Duties Include :

• Operating high pressure steam boilers and auxiliaries, steam turbine and related equipment, and chemical / additive pumps as required.
• Ordering supplies as required for timely repair and service.
• Ordering fuel and monitoring consumption.
• Overseeing contracted services.
• Adhere to operations / maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance programs.
• Monitor records and utilize energy management systems to help optimize plant efficiency.
• Isolate and perform Lock-Out / Tag-Out on plant equipment.
• Plant housekeeping duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
