Department Leader

Position Summary : The Department Leader will be responsible for overseeing and directing the day-to-day operations of the assigned department. This Leader will be responsible for the planning and operations of the department. ensuring efficiency, compliance, and the achievement of organizational goals and metrics (KPI’s).

Job Responsibilities :

• Continue to drive a safety culture that minimizes injuries and encourages reporting.
• Collaborate with the quality team to drive First-Pass-Yield and minimize defects.
• Manage and oversee the daily activities of the hourly team, ensuring all processes are followed and objectives are met in a safe way.
• Collaborate with the planning organization to determine the capacity of the machines that drive efficient operations and maximize output. Create work orders and complete compliantly.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and cost reductions in operational processes and leading initiatives to implement them.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor team performance, and ensure goals are met or exceeded.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless flow of operations.
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
• Provide regular reports on team activities, successes, and challenges
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure efficient operations.
• Other duties as assigned
