Hospice Aide
The Hospice Aide will provide personal care, simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services, assistance in ambulation or exercise, and assistance in administering medications that are ordinarily self-administered. Administration direct patient care under the direction of the RN, Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist. Participates in Quality Improvement Program. Communicates pertinent information to RN or therapist. Understands and follows agency policies / procedures. Utilizes opportunities for personal growth. Provides for a clean and safe environment. Maintains confidentiality of patient / peer information inside and outside the Medical Center. Participates in agency meetings and interdisciplinary group meetings. Documents in patient record to ensure evidence of quality of care. Practices universal / standard precautions. Reads agency memos and keeps informed about events or changes in policies / procedures. Adheres to Saint Francis Medical Center personnel policies. Performs other duties as assigned. Promotes a positive image of Saint Francis Hospice to co-workers, patients. Must have current drivers license, auto insurance and reliable auto insurance.
