POSITION SUMMARY :

The Lifeguard monitors the pool area, providing a safe experience for members, participants, volunteers, and staff.

SALARY RANGE : $20.00-$24.00 / hour

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Actively scan the pool, looking for hazards and monitoring the safety of swimmers
• Conduct swim tests with young swimmers
• Adhere to program standards, including safety and cleanliness standards, and ensure consistency with evidence-based practices
• Attend staff meetings and trainings
• Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor
