• Healthcare Setting : Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Cardiac Specialty\n
• Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract\n
• Start Date : October 27, 2025\n
• Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)\n
• Hours per Week : 36\n
• Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n
• Unit Size : 22 beds\n
• Patient Ratio : 4 : 1\n
• Electronic Health Record : Paragon\n
• Scrub Color : Navy\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
• Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent step-down, PCU, or ICU nursing experience\n
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required\n
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)\n
• Ability to float to other units as needed\n
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach\n\nPCU Nurse Responsibilities\n
• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac patients, including post-cardiac cath lab and cardioversion cases\n
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data\n
• Work with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans\n
• Accurately document patient information in the Paragon EHR system\n
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and treatments\n
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment\n
