Overview

Position Summary : Our Houston office is seeking a Conveyance Design Engineer with strong technical expertise in wastewater and stormwater infrastructure. This role will support the planning, design, and delivery of complex conveyance projects across municipal and regional markets. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, design proficiency, and a collaborative mindset to multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop design solutions for gravity and pressure pipelines, pump stations, force mains, and related conveyance infrastructure
  • Produce engineering calculations, technical reports, construction documents, and specifications
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and external clients to meet project milestones and deliverables
  • Participate in permitting processes, utility coordination, and quality reviews
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master\'s preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in municipal water / wastewater conveyance design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling software
  • Demonstrated experience in client coordination and task leadership
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with regional permitting agencies and utility coordination practices
  • Prior involvement in large-scale municipal or federal water infrastructure projects
  • Interest in business development or growing into a project management role
